Sustainability
GOOD
FOR ALL
We will never compromise on sustainability. Everything we make must be better for the planet, better for people, and better for business. Or we simply won’t make it.

We are passionately pioneering the future of clean chemistry where people and planet can prosper and businesses see a healthy triple bottom line.

ESG REPORT
Sustainability must be more than a promise. It requires action and accountability.

We’ve set bold goals for our sustainability efforts. That’s why we’ve made it a quantifiable part of the business and are publishing our inaugural Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report this year. It serves as the baseline for measuring our progress and success in our sustainability journey.

The Science

Possible

With the leading synthetic biology platform, we take a fast, cost-effective and sustainable approach using clean chemistry to commercialize ingredients.

Our sustainably sourced, Lab-to-Market molecules disrupt industries and support the ESG goals of our market leading partners.

Our malaria treatment has saved the lives of over 1 million children.

1 square kilometer of sugarcane can produce the world’s supply of squalane.

Our Manool has zero impact on the forests and Manoao pines of New Zealand.

We use non-GMO, Bonsucro-certified sugarcane as our feedstock. Sugarcane is one of the most regenerative plants—it recovers quickly after harvest and requires minimal irrigation due to the heavy rainfall in Brazil.

We are shifting the world to sustainable ingredients with our own family of brands and with our partners. Perhaps most compelling, as our success scales, so too do the positive effects on the planet.
